We had a free day in Fairbanks, so decided to take a tour of this campus. Such a neat university. Our tour guide was getting ready to graduate and then spend a year in China. She's majoring in Asian languages, and hopes to get a job with the UN.

Don't know why she decided to show us a dorm room. Seems like all universities they are pretty much the same.
The only reason I took this picture is because there was a plaque on the far wall showing the NCAA Rifle Champions for several years in a row.
Most of the students and professors cars have electric cords hanging out of their engines. The posts are electrical outlets for engine warmers.
OK. What is this girl majoring in? And her parents are paying for it?
We decided to go try this lodge for lunch, so drove 30 miles up north of Fairbanks only to find out it was closed on Tuesday. Only in Alaska.
