Cliff has been a Iditarod Race follower for several years, so we had to stop at the headquarters at Wasilla, Alaska just North of Anchorage. It's interesting that dog sleds carried serum for diptheria from Seward to Nome.

In Anchorage, we visited the Native Heritage Center. These young people demonstrated games they have played for centuries. She is kicking a ball about the size of a tennis ball on a rope, only using one arm to support herself.

In the center above is a portion of a caribou intestine. After it's dried they make rain coats out of it.
This spear is used for a multitude of things including spearing fish, and cutting ice.

Jawbones of a whale. Not sure if it's a humpback or sperm whale. Pretty impressive.
